Caroline has an MBA from INSEAD and worked in international brand
development before her first child was diagnosed with a genetic disorder. She joined the Jeans for Genes
Day campaign in 2007 and founded Genetic Disorders UK in 2011. Caroline is a
passionate advocate for families affected by genetic conditions and is
frequently interviewed about the challenges faced by parents with an
Susan is director of PID UK, set up as part of Genetic Disorders UK to support families affected by primary immunodeficiencies. Susan is also the head of specialist services and research for the Chronic Granulomatous Disorder Society.
Emily is a GCRB Registered Genetic Counsellor. She has an MSc. Genetic Counselling and BSc. Genetics from Manchester and Newcastle Universities. She worked in NHS genetic services before moving into the voluntary sector in 2014. Emily provides information and support to the growing number of people contacting our telephone and email helpline service. She also liaises with healthcare providers and writes content for our website.
Sam Carlisle is executive features editor on The Sun. Sam has two children one of whom, Elvi, has the genetic disorder rhizomelic chondrodysplasia punctata. Sam has extensive experience in dealing with issues of disability and is a member of our mum's panel.
Hannah coordinates the marketing and social media activities for Genetic Disorders UK, the Primary Immunodeficiency Society and the Chronic Granulomatous Disorder Society. Hannah is also the key contact for charities and patient groups receiving grants from Jeans for Genes Day.
Doron oversees the operations of the Jeans for Genes Day campaign. He also leads the development of the website and database infrastructure for Genetic Disorders UK, Primary Immunodeficiency UK and the Chronic Granulomatous Disorder Society.
Pooja manages the finance and accounting for Jeans for Genes Day, Genetic Disorders UK, Primary Immunodeficiency UK and the Chronic Granulomatous Disorder Society.
Laura oversees all of the marketing and communications for Jeans for Genes Day. She is also the key contact for all corporate partnerships and press.
Lina is responsible for organising the public relations activities around Jeans for Genes Day. She also manages our T-shirt design competition and the sale of merchandise.
