Caroline Harding

Caroline Harding
Chief Executive

Caroline has an MBA from INSEAD and worked in international brand development before her first child was diagnosed with a genetic disorder. She joined the Jeans for Genes Day campaign in 2007 and co-founded Genetic Disorders UK in 2011. Caroline organises the annual UK Genetic Disorders Leadership Symposium for charities and patient groups, and is a passionate advocate for affected families.

Doron Kristal

Head of Operations

Doron oversees the operations of Genetic Disorders UK, the Jeans for Genes Day campaign and Primary Immunodeficiency UK, leading the development of the website and database infrastructure. He also provides operational support to the Chronic Granulomatous Disorder Society.

Arsheen manages the events for Genetic Disorders UK and co-ordinates the Jeans for Genes social media as well as assisting in the development and implementation of marketing and communication projects for Jeans for Genes.

Sam Carlisle

Sam Carlisle is director of Cause Communications and a national newspaper journalist with 20 years experience. Sam has two children one of whom, Elvi, has the genetic disorder RCDP. Sam is a passionate advocate for children with disabilities and is a member of our mum's panel.

Laura Pattison

Laura oversees all of the marketing and communications for Jeans for Genes Day. She is also the key contact for all corporate partnerships and press.

Lina Abdulkarim

Lina is responsible for organising the public relations activities around Jeans for Genes Day. She also manages our T-shirt design competition and the sale of merchandise.

Susan Walsh

Director

Susan is director of PID UK, set up as part of Genetic Disorders UK to support families affected by primary immunodeficiencies. Susan is also the head of specialist services and research for the CGD Society. Susan has a degree in biochemistry and a PhD. She graduated as a EUPATI Fellow in 2017 and is a patient advocate on the National Plasma Product Expert Advisory Group, NHS Scotland, the NHS England CRG for Immunology and Allergy.

Hannah Bruce

Marketing & Development Officer

Hannah coordinates the marketing activities for PID UK and is the key contact for resources requested from nurses and patients. She works 10 hours per week helping develop content for the website and is the main contact for our fundraisers.

Anna Whaite
Genetic Counsellor

Anna replies to the calls and emails we receive on our helpline about genetics.  She is an experienced Registered Genetic Counsellor (GCRB registration 229) having trained and worked in NHS Genetics Services in Manchester, London and Oxford.  She studied at the University of Manchester and has degrees in Genetic Counselling (MSc) and Biomedical Sciences with Industrial Experience (BSc)

Emily Clarke

Emily is a GCRB Registered Genetic Counsellor. She has an MSc. in Genetic Counselling and BSc. in Genetics from Manchester and Newcastle Universities. She worked in NHS genetic services before moving to the voluntary sector in 2014.
